As in previous years, the ITB Berlin Convention will take place as a parallel, virtual event, and bring invite high-profile experts on stage to discuss the latest tourism industry topics.
”The coronavirus pandemic has given digitalisation in the trade show industry a major boost“, said David Ruetz, Head of ITB Berlin. ”ITB Berlin NOW will be a highly fascinating, online hub for doing successful business, cultivating existing and new relations, and a place to interact and gain inspiration. In 2021, ITB Berlin will again show how important it is to have a platform, where the global travel industry can come together, even if it is an entirely virtual format. In the longer term the World’s Leading Travel Trade Show will assume a hybrid character, combining in-person and virtual formats. For 2021 we have decided to offer tourism professionals an outstanding, entirely virtual event. Many important exhibitors have already signalled keen interest in the options the format offers.“
